Teaching MUV places the student at the centre of its teaching practices. It strives to enhance accessibility to its programmes, promoting diversity, equal opportunities and lifelong learning. Its courses are designed in collaboration with partners from the industry in order to ensure their relevance to the labour market, prioritising professional and vocational learning outcomes. They therefore emphasise a practice-based approach, integrating work placements, initiatives involving the local community and mobility opportunities, whenever possible. Teaching will seek to promote interactivity among the students, interdisciplinarity between different programmes, and innovative methodologies which make the best use of the digital resources available. | |
Assessment procedures Assessment may be carried out through the adoption of one or more of the following options, giving due attention to the practical work produced throughout the course. In all cases, the method selected should target the specific learning outcome that is being assessed. ·       Ongoing assessment: Work presented throughout the course of the study-unit (may include tests taken at indicated intervals); ·       Portfolio: A systematic and representative collection of the student’s work (documenting progress throughout the term); ·       Journal: Entries on a weekly basis tracking all work done (may include personal reflection and factual recording of activities); ·       Project: An individual or collaborative work which may involve different tasks or activities; ·       Presentation: Delivered in class by an individual or group of students (generally followed by a discussion to improve communication skills); ·       Practical: Work of a practical nature carried out under supervision at a set venue; ·       Assignment: An essay of a specific length or other exercises to be submitted by a set date; ·       Oral test: An interview held on a set date, at an indicated venue, to assess the student’s knowledge; ·       Written test: Essays, multiple-choice questions or other written exercises, held under supervision on a set date, at an indicated venue. | |

Teaching | The host company appoints member of professional staff to assist the student during the work placement. The MUV tutor supervises the intern and sets contact hours to monitor progress. A Learning Agreement between the student, the host and MUV will be signed prior to the start of the placement. |
Assessment | Brief report (500-1,000 words) of the experience. The supervisor evaluates the student’s performance and once satisfied of progress, certifies (Pass) the successful completion of this educational component. |

Teaching | The host company appoints member of professional staff to assist the student during the work placement. The MUV tutor supervises the intern and sets contact hours to monitor progress. A Learning Agreement between the student, the host and MUV will be signed prior to the start of the placement. |
Assessment | Brief report (500-1,000 words) of the experience. The supervisor evaluates the student’s performance and once satisfied of progress, certifies (Pass) the successful completion of this educational component. |
